When we moved in we ripped out the old above ground pool which left a wonderful sandbox in it's place! The kids loved it, so we decided to leave it as well as giving them a little more time to jump off the old pool deck. So we decided to plant a flower bed around the perimeter of their sandbox.
We found a bunch of old landscaping bricks around the fire pit. Using those we were able to create a barrier between the sand box and the flower bed. Today we spent our 1/2 day off of school rototilling, pulling weeds, edging, and planting a bunch of flowers we transplanted from around the yard. Dad gave us about 50 strawberry plants which are along the outside of the whole bed. When the weather warms we will plant our dahlias all along the inside edge.
